The Senior QA Manager role in this business is the critical link for the QA Team with production, technical, process and customer service. - An open, proactive and inquisitive mindset.
Please note there will be travel with this role, one day per month, to a further site. Unlike many QA Manager roles there is the flexibility to WFH one day per week with the expectation of 4 days on site weekly. - The ongoing development and introduction of new safety programs to ensure enforcement of those plans across the business.
- Working closely with the production plant ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Staying ahead of any changes in legislation and advising the business accordingly.
- Work across all key stakeholders across the business to ensure consistency of message and culture.
- Leading the audit process ensuring regular safety inspections and audits take place resolving any resulting issues.
- Support improvement projects in all functions.

We need to see HSE candidates with the following backgrounds:
- Extensive experience in Health and Safety in manufacturing with a background in food, chemical, FMCG or pharmaceutical.
- NEBOSH qualified.
- Proven ability in influencing key stakeholders in Health and Safety management.
- Knowledge of current and future Environmental Health and Safety legislation.
- Proactive engagement with cross functional teams through clear and confident communication.
- Organised and attentive to detail.
- Self-motivated to consistently drive best practice.
- Familiar with manufacturing environments working closely with the production teams to support and advise.

The Hygiene Manager role – every factory needs one and it’s one of those jobs where the environment has a huge impact on your role, especially when you are working nights. This site is growing and has a track record for investing in the site and its people. Hygiene and Technical are well regarded, seen as pivotal to the success of the business and its performance.
The new Hygiene Manager for the business will develop the team and set the strategy for the site. You will be the Hygiene expert on site.
The key points for the role:
- To develop the overall Hygiene plan and systems and align this with the Manufacturing and Technical Strategy.
- Manage and develop the Hygiene team, putting Hygiene at the core of the factory building in effective training programs.
- Work closely with Technical Controller on site and the technical team.
- Build a collaborative relationship with production and engineering to aid efficient production start-ups and smooth manufacturing processes across the site.
- To ensure that the Hygiene KPI’s are measured, and actions reviewed and delivered.
- To further develop the Hygiene systems in line with the businesses and retailer codes of practice.
- Liaise with hygiene suppliers to ensure all cleaning routines are optimized.
- Manage the hygiene budget.

What background do you need for this role?
- Hygiene management experience in the food industry.
- Food hygiene Level 3, HACCP Level 3, COSHH, IOSH and Supervising Food Safety level 3.
- Previous managerial experience.
- Able communicator to liaise cross functionally on all hygiene related issues.
- Strong organisation skills, able to prioritise autonomously.
- Detailed understanding of cleaning processes.
- Confident operator, able to build rapport with ease.
- Good attention to detail for all audit preparation, training and cleaning records.
